Hi everyone,

Thought we had better put a blog on to let you all know that we are safe and away from all bushfires, soory if we have worried any of you. Since our last blog which I think was in melbourne we stayed with some friends we met camping at their home in Bacchus marsh about 80k west of melbourne for a couple of nights and the guy sorted out a few bits with the van. We then went onto Adelaide and spend about a week in South Australia, another heatwave with the temp reaching over 45 degrees. We didn't get burnt though and we were drinking about 4 litres a day (water that is not beer as Adam would like!!)

We then set off for western australia last Thursday 6th for the loooooooong drive it took us almost 3 days of nearly constant driving, averaging 700k a day. A big place!! a fact we read was that WA as the locals refer to it is bigger than Alaska and Texas put tgeva (put that in for you Lisa).

In Albany now on the south west coast, still a couple of days from Perth. Very different scenery here so far from rugged and great views but the sea is a bit rough to swim in.

We have a new mobile number (0061) 0458626054 maybe miss the zero off??? it is a telstra one which is the main phone network so hopefully reception will be better.
