Mue Ne
Arriving in Mue Ne I was desperate to do some sport,as we pulled up to the bus stop I saw kites in the air and my face lit up!! In mue ne everything is on the beach so your close to everything.
On the first day we headed to the sand dunes we rented a motor bike a manual this time I had a two mintue lesson and we were away I loved the bike but mishee was a little scared as my gear changes wernt that smooth at first!! We got to the white sand dunes and bought some slides off a little kid the dunes were beauiflul but we couldnt slide down them, havent got a clue why but it was a bit of a let down. The best bit of the day was cruising around vietnam with the sun blazing down on us.
Vietnam has two, seasons wet and dry, we are in the wet season its crazy it beaming hot one minute and then chucking it down the next its quaitly as the rain cools the air.
We were here in the off season so it was very quiet which is class as prices are lower and the kite schools aren't so busy so I didn't have to worry about killing everyone! So I found a local kite school called Mr. lee, wind was good so we got straight onto learning the safety and learning how to control the kite and get power from the kite, after 4 hours I was on the board blasting down wind very down wind!!!! I was out quite far the I tried to turn end the kite hit the water at a fast pace the board came off my feet thought I was a goner! I managed to remembered how to get back to the beach with the kite but the board was gone! But Mr. lee was there and he swam and got the board. He was laughing and told me to relax! Relax I said I was almost in the bloodly Philippines!!
The buzz from flying across the sea was amazing I got a bit carried away on one blast went to quick and lost concentration as I was screaming my head off and hit the water face first giving myself an instant headache! Kite surfing is my new sport its not as expensive as wakeboarding and its a bit more enviromently friendly so as soon as I get home I'm getting the gear and heading to the gowe.r I'm hoping to do some in oz aswell but its a lot more expensive apparently so Vietnam is a a great place to learn, apart from the massive waves you have to ride over but yea quality time.
Mishee was so patient and just relaxed on the beach and cheared me on when I went miles down wind she was there to my rescue.
We also had our first night out here we have been saving our pennies at night but we though we need a night out so we went to a class little beach club and got on the vodkas aster a few mishee hit the dancefloor and was dancing with the local girls she loved it. We met some quality Vietnamese and Hungarian people but not so nice Russian people as they started a fight with a friend of ours but nothing happened.
We were meant to stay for 2 night but ended up staying for 6! I could stay here for a year just to kite surf, its quite cheap here you can get a beer for 50p a meal for £1 and we paid $10 for air con accommodation not bad at all. If you wanna kite surf I recommend Mr. lee as he doesn't waste your time and get you riding as quick as possible. We loved Mue Ne
