Day two of our Scotland trip still sees it warm enough to wear shorts. Today was Melrose Abbey and Rosslyn chapel whilst travelling from Hawick to Glenfarg. Melrose has to be one of the cleanest and tidiest towns around all thanks to a group of volunteers who weed and clean up around the town. Ok technically not Hawick but rather Wiltonburn B&B just outside of Hawick. Very nice location with good walks and great views. Added a new pub to the list, The Mayfield in Hawick, no Haggis on the menu but the McEwans 60 was nice.

Ok, have now moved from Maidstone to Upton, next stop is Scotland! Of course beforehand we had to do a walking tour via the Crown at Rolleston and the Bromely at Fiskerton. Nice way to spend lunch, on the banks of the river Trent drinking pints of Abbots

24 hours after leaving home we have arrived in Gatwick. It's a long walk from the A380 terminal to customs, but have to say loved the air bridge that goes over the taxiway, interesting looking down on a jet as it passed underneath. Customs was straight forward and proves that having a non UK passport is not a hinderance especially when you see the UK/Europe line has a couple of hundred people in it yet the "foreigners" one we are in has about 100. In Dubai after 11 hours. Sorted the duty free and now the wait for the A380 to Gatwick...... Wouldn't you know it an hour delay. As it turns out we have to catch a bus out to the plane which has been sitting on the tarmack in probably +50 heat for a few hours.
