So we woke up had breakfast and it was soon time for five of us to catch the greyhound to Noosa. Me, The Swedes, Hana and Lauren were to get the bus while Tom showed Jeeves how hitch hiking worked. The bus journey was five hours long but time flew as we had a good laugh chatting s***, playing games, drinking goon and getting told off by the driver for playing with the arm rests too much. We were in Noosa in now time where I instantly made a friend, a girl from Scarborough, I never got to know her name as I persisted on calling her Scarborough. I helped her out driving the bus to the hostel and back for the new guests helping load and unload new arrivals bags. She promised me a beer later that night for my work and kindness.
We got checked in; we had a bit of drama where we had to move rooms and move back and then went for the free welcome drink. We were still awaiting the arrival of Jeeves and Tom and were beginning to wonder when they would arrive when the phone rang. It was Jeeves, they were here! They had got a lift from a man called Russell who was in the catering industry! Luckily they had made the free drink too. It was free pizza night so we ate some pizza and we got told it was ladies night that night, and if the men dressed as ladies they would get free champagne! Me and Tom obliged looking like the biggest pair of drag queens ever. I was doled up in a black dress, push up bra with red nails, eye liner, mascara and a sun hat. I think glitter may have been involved too. I looked hideous, but I couldn't stop touching my new boobs. We got some free champagne and signed up for the wet t-shirt competition. The girls wet t-shirt competition. Jeeves then come close to winning a skydive playing heads or tails where he found himself naked. It was then time for the wet t-shirt competition. The man who was running the show didn't want me and Tom to compete though. We were fuming! I was outraged. A girl had persuaded us to sign up and now we wasn't allowed to compete it was ridiculous. The man in no uncertain terms was a complete idiot, I'd use much stronger language but I know my mother and father are reading. Anyway even writing about it is making me angry so I will swiftly move on. We had a good night, I got change back into a man, still with a bit of make-up on though and bright red nails and headed to the night club. There was a massive queue so I snuck in. It was more like a small pub and the place was far too busy. Everyone was on each other's toes. So we headed back to the hostel via a 7-leven where I treated myself to a pie, milkshake and banana.
The next morning we all woke up a little worse for wear, we had planned to maybe do some surfing. Tom went and asked about hiring some boards but unfortunately they were all already in use, so our surfing days would have to wait for another day and town. I booked my bus to our next destination a town called Mooloolaba, also on the Sunshine Coast. It would be there where we would get to see Steve Irwins Zoo, paddle board, kayak and maybe even surf! Me and the Swedes decided then we would find a basketball court to shoot a few hoops. Reception pointed us in the direction of where she thought there was a court saying it was a good thirty minute walk. Forty five minutes later and all we had was tennis courts. We asked at an information centre who pointed us in another direction saying it was only twenty minutes. We carried on and forty-five minutes later all we had was a little park and a Woolworths. It wasn't looking likely that we would find a court but I asked at one more information centre as a last shot who pointed back in the direction we came to a Leisure Centre. We eventually arrived and got on a court, but we only had twenty minutes as a kids team would be using it then. We played. I lost. Alex, who I nicknamed Jordan because of her basketball skills won, but I kinda expected this as she played back home in Sweden and I hadn't played since secondary school. We took the long walk back treating ourselves to ice cream on the way back. We were nearly back as Jordan said wouldn't be funny if we saw a basketball court now in one of these hotels near our hostel, and you guessed it. We spotted one! We walked over 15 kilometres for twenty minutes of basketball. We had been gone 5 hours and there was a basketball court 5 minutes up the road. We could only laugh at the situation.
The night was far more relaxed than the previous. Hana and Lauren went to the cinema to see the new Twilight. I was up for the cinema too but didn't want to see Twilight and I didn't fancy any of the other films showing. So we decided to stay in and watch a film on the laptop. After about an hour of deliberating which film to watch we decided on 21 Jump Street. I've already seen it but it is a hilarious film so highly recommend it if you want a good film to give you a laugh. That's about all I have to tell you about that night, believe it or not we didn't even have an alcoholic drink, like it said it was pretty chilled out. I think I needed it after walking most of the day.
So that's Noosa for you guys until next time Stay Safe and Take Care
