An emotional day today as Claudia and I put Amanda and J on the plane home. It was cold this morning, there was snow on Mount Wellington which is just up behind the B&B.

On the way back from the airport, Claudia and I went to the Hobart Botanical Gardens. Another highlight for me. The vege patch isn't quite what it was during Peter Cundell's days but it was still there and good fun to see it for real. Claudie particularly took to the Japanese Garden with water, bridges, Japanese Maples and stones.

Then we decided to go to a Pet Shop to talk about Guinea Pigs with the staff there. Claudia has decided she wants a guinea pig after seeing them at the Zoo yesterday and it seems like a reasonable ambition. And I wanted to do something that kept her happy.

A trip to the video store was the next order and we spent the afternoon watching movies except for a brief walk to the bike shop, beach and the store.
