This morning started reasonably early, as we had a bit of a drive to San Fran. First we headed to the sundial bridge in Redding. Dad was only concerned about the cost of the bridge and Matt was only concerned about the time it took them to build it! We then carried on our drive. We had a few food/toilet stops and one stop for Dutch bros that was the most roundabout drive we have taken.
As we entered into San Fran the the rain was so heavy we could barely see. But luckily it stopped before we headed across the bay bridge. We got into San Fran and did some good navigating to make it to our hotel, where we checked into our room and emptied out the rental car. Mum and Dad went to return the rental car while us kids went down to Denny’s for some food and a milkshake. After we got settled into our hotel we headed over to the restaurant to play some pool and jenga, have a drink and dinner. Then we headed back to our room, on the way back Rebecca managed to fall down a set of stairs outside and hurt herself... We got back to our rooms and watched some tv and got ready for bed. Just as we were all comfy we heard a very loud siren, it took us awhile before we realised it was the fire alarm, so we quickly got Matt out of the bathroom and headed out the emergency stairs, with our passports and essentials. When the fire trucks came and gave it the all clear we were able to head back to our rooms. It was smoke in the restaurant that set them off. After settling back in again we headed to sleep to get ready for a fun filled day in San Fran.
