It's been my first chance to get off the ship in Koper, Slovenia today because had alot of time off work. Koper is a really nice old town full of tiny cobbled streets and traditional market stalls. Me and one of the guys that I work with walked around the town for a while and discovered free wifi in the main shopping centre so will deffinetly be coming back when I next get the chance. It's always funny to find that you bump into so many people that work on the ship even in the biggest towns on the cruise.
On the overnight in Venice on friday night I went off the ship for a night out for the first time with three brazillian freinds to a small club hidden in the outskirts of venice. It was great to see Venice at night and, although the club was madly expensive, we all had a great time and somehow managed to find our way back to the ship at stupid o'clock in the morning.
Last night we had a full crew night out on the ship, partly because we have a new lighting tech and a new sound tech just started. The lighting tech will be working in our venue and is from Brighton so it's been good to talk to someone from England again and have got the chance later to use the lighting desk and get some more experience. One of the strange things about working on a ship is that friends and people you work with change all the time because peoples contracts end at different times so constantly meeting new people that come onboard.
Last week I was on duty so it was mad busy but now have two weeks off duty so got alot more time. Been using the enormous guest gym and ice rink alot in my spare time and got a few more trips out planned for the next couple of weeks so looking forward to that. Time is flying by so fast here and still having a great time although very tired as i'm writing this so off to bed before work at 6. Iv'e got alot of new pics so i'll post them up soon.
Paalam ('bye' in Philipino)

Janet Great to read your blog, Adam. Sounds like you're having a brilliant time. Hope you've got your skates with you and not having to rely on hire skates. Get practising those jumps and spins to impress the crowds!
