The last few days have been the most amazing and intense days of my life completing the inca trail. No matter how much research or preparation you do, nothing prepares you for it. So yesterday we were woken up at 5am in the lodge to have a fresh organic buffet before heading off on the bus in the darkness for the colca canyon. We got there as it got light and just as we were pulling up we saw 2 huge condors circling jut above the canyon. So last night turned pretty eventful. We all went out for a meal then me, mike the tour leader, kev, dan and sunny went to a few bars. It was happy hour it lots of places with 3 Cuba libres (rum and cokes) for 12 soles, around 3 quid! Last night after chilling in the hotel for ages watching tv we eventually left for the bus station, only to get there to be told the bus was delayed so all feeling pretty exhausted we took over the waiting room and watched Ferris Bueler's Day Off, then 13 Going On Thirty (!?!?!). Yesterday afternoon we set off from Huacachina in a convoy of amercan muscle cars through the desert and mountains to Nazca. The scenery once again was amazing, especially as it was sunset over the mountains. After the two hour trip we arrived in our hotel which is once again awesome.
