This morning we woke up full of aches and pains of the last few days so 5 of us decided to miss out on the day trip to some more ruins and opted for a relaxing day in cusco which began with a nice hot breakfast before an hour long massage to refresh our muscles. The last few days have been the most amazing and intense days of my life completing the inca trail. No matter how much research or preparation you do, nothing prepares you for it. So yesterday we were woken up at 5am in the lodge to have a fresh organic buffet before heading off on the bus in the darkness for the colca canyon. We got there as it got light and just as we were pulling up we saw 2 huge condors circling jut above the canyon.
