Monday 3rd November- We went down to our nearest beach, which is just 2 minutes walk from our hotel. The waves are massive, its great for surfing. Adam bought some sunglasses and I bought some jewellery on the beach. I think they could spot us a mile off as we turned up quite pale so it was obvious we had just got there. I think they thought they could rip us off but we haggled them down quite a bit. We were a little bit bombarded on the beach as one minute we're being offered a massage, sunglasses, surf boards etc then all of a sudden my hand was taken away from me and some lady started painting my finger nails. It was quite funny but we just have to keep saying no.We met some nice people that are staying in the same hotel, Andy and Helen that are from reading and Ricki and Caroline who live in Crawley. That night we went to a bar called Billys, (Andy and Helen's local in Bali) we had a really good time and everyone was really nice. The waiters play tricks on you and theres always a band playing there. Luckily its only a stone throw away from our hotel so not far to go. Everyone here drives motorbikes as its much easier and quicker to get around. Its crazy on the roads here, but even when were at Billys people offer to take us back to our hotel. Were hopped on one of our friends the other night but only to the end of the road!! We were quite tired that night as we were still abit jet lagged so went home fairly early to sleep.
