At breakfast this morning Siziba told us all some bad news. Vincent's Aunt (his Mum's Sister) has died and he will be leaving us as soon as we arrive in Vic Fall's as it is his responsibility, as the oldest man in the family, to prepare the funeral. Apparently he found out that she was ill whilst we were in Namibia although he had kept it quiet from the group so he had not had time to say his goodbyes to her and he is very sad. Today we once again had a choice. We were heading to Chobe National Park which is about 6-7 hours away and there is the chance of an optional game drive if we want to during the afternoon. However, included in the tour is a sunset cruise on Chobe River which is within the park and therefore many of the parks animals can be seen on the banks. We are finally leaving the wet and miserable Delta this morning! Hooray! The sun was shining this morning and everyone was up really early to get their tents down and hurry back to Siziba and Sonny. I woke up quite excited today…we're going into the Delta! I've heard a lot about the Delta, how beautiful it is, how you can camp close to wild animals such as elephants and leopard! We're going to spend 2 nights in the Delta in total. The accommodated group, who have now parked up their truck near ours, took an early morning flight to their 5 star accommodation which consists of large tree house/marquee style rooms.
