So its now a matter of weeks until we leave. Neither of us have really had a chance to get excited yet because there is still too much to do. Half of our house has been packed into storage with most of what's left leaving our lovely home surprisingly reminiscent of Adam's old bachelor pad in Alum Chine!

We have (finally) selected a letting agent...wow, even with my job at the property ombudsman I had no idea they could be sooooo BAD! Complete lack of service from any of them. To tell the truth I'm waiting to see if the one we've selected is going to live up to expectations but if not...oh well...time is running out! With a guy coming to carry out the EPC tomorrow the bungalow should be appearing on the internet by Saturday...scary stuff!

Thats me being optimistic by the way, in truth its more likely to be next week AT LEAST before the property is advertised for let but you never know, we live in hope........................................................

We've booked our first 2 nights stay in a hostel in Lima! From then on we're completely on our own. That said we/I have a very rough plan of the places we want to visit and general order so with my sense of direction we should be reasonably ok. No point following Adam though, he can't tell left from right let alone north from south!!!

So if anyone has any spare time in the next couple of weeks and fancies picking up a paint brush or packing a few boxes, give us a call! There are also a few pot plants in the garden looking for a new home (one where they might preferably get more water than they do here :-) )

I've added a photo of Archie and Charlie who have now happily settled into their new home. So much so they were terrified when we went to see them that we might actually try and bring them back! We couldn't have wished for a better life for them although that doesn't make it any easier.
