Hi everyone!
Sorry its been so long... internet in France is really expensive! And since we've been in London we've been very busy bees. We have a house! YAY! Well a room, a bathroom and a kitchen in a house! But for the moment we're on our own until the owners finish renovating! We have been in London for five days and we're pretty sure we're going to enjoy it... despite the fact that it took 4 hours and $75 to get from the airport to our hostel on Saturday night! So we almost feel like we're not tourists anymore! We just need a job! I should have some interviews lined up with parents within the next few days for nannying and Adam is trying to get a good paying corporate job but businesses are hesitant because we're not on permanent visas... but apart from that he fits the part!
So last time we blogged it was in Nice... Such a beautiful town and we finally got some nice weather! We stayed at a hostel which had a 24 hour common room and bar so I didn't sleep for 3 nights! But we met some cool people and some not so cool people (we had to share a dorm with 6 teenage boys from Norway and they were smelly and dirty and drunk most of the time). We had planned to go canyoning on our last day in Nice but for some reason that got cancelled, so they recommended we go scuba diving. So we got out onto the boat and then turned around and went back because the water was too rough! So we wasted a perfect sunny day!
We moved onto Chamonix (French Alps) and ended up extending our stay here because our only day there was rainy. So after changing our plans around, we then sent two days wandering and playing a lot of pool and mini golf because the rain brought over a heap of fog which restricted us from doing just about everything! Travelling isn't always fun people! Not when you can't do anything and its costing a fortune to do so... But fortunatey our last day in Chamonix was gorgeous and we had the best day! We got to see an ice grotto at Mere Di Glace and the views from here were amazing! We were so excited to see so much snow, we jumped and played and made snow angels and even made a snow man! I know we're such children.... We then went up to the top of Aguile Di Midi which is the highest mountain point in Europe. We were above the clouds at 3842m high! It was awesome. And then we got to go on the luge and that was also awesome... after 4 rides each we still wanted more.
We then went back to Paris for 2 more nights and got to visit the catacombs! 2 million peoples bones are down there dated back to the 1500s. Must have been the plague or something, but they have walls and walls of skulls and bones down there! There wasn't any flash allowed so we managed to take some eerie shots with the torch... we are so morbid aren't we? We spent the next day doing some shopping (mostly new clothes for our interviews, gotta make a good impression). And that marks the nd of our trip for now. Gotta save more money so we can do it again somewhere else! So sorry to those we haven't replied to with your emails! We do inend to as soon as we have the internet up and running, it will just take way too long (and way too much $$$) whilst we're using internet cafe services! Won't be long we promise! So this will be the end for our blogs for now... we will update you all from time to time when there is news to tell! Until then keep the emails coming, we love hearing from you all!
Love you and missing you all. xxx
