Well, long time no talkie! We've done a heck of a lot since we last wrote, so we'll skim the boring stuff and get to the juicyness. The day after our last update, we headed out to Bayeux and on to the D-Day beaches, where the Allied forces landed on 6/6/1944 to begin the battle that would end WWII. Well, we've moved on! In Naples, we got to do an underground tour thing, crawling through caves under the city, that the Romans used as aquaducts. It was really cool, very cluastraphobic but we went after a fat German guy, so if he made it we would. Great fun. Took a day trip out to Pompei, and nothing you read about it can really prepare you for seeing the whole town. It was great, a little bit eerie to know that the place was buried under ash and lava back in 7...

So since our last entry we've been to see the leaning tower of Pisa... it sure does lean! Don't get us wrong, great to see it, but 3 hour train trip to see an example of why Italians shouldn't be trusted to build towers wasn't real thrilling. Basically that's all there is in Pisa, so we got the requisite hilarious photo and came back home. Grabbed our bags and jumped on a train to Milan! Well, since our last adventure... As you can see in the photos, we went to the Colosseum, Palantine Hill and the Roman Forum. Pretty cool stuff, Palatine Hill was especially great. The Colosseum is incredible when you're actually there, beats all the documentaries by far. Amazing to hear about the things that went on a few hundred years ago.
