You last heard from us when we set foot in phnom penh. We have done so much since then we are now writing this blog from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam!! That means weve survived cambodia!!

The day after we set foot in phnom penh we did a tour of the killing fields and S21 which were both part of the khmer rouge regime and over 700,000 thousand cambodians were killed. We both wanted to see what it was all about... and to be honest it was a pritty morbid day. They showed you loads of human skulls,bones,jaws and teeth of the dead. What surprised us the most was that some of the khmer rouge were still on trial today, but when we were asking questions about it some people were hush hush because they believe that there are still people living in cambodia that are part of the khmer rouge.

On a happier note we left phnom penh cause we didnt really like it that much and headed to sihnoukville which is a beach town in cambodia. We thort we would slum it a bit cause we were a bit more experienced and booked in a room for $6 it had a cold shower and it was a beach hut with a toilet with no flusher apart from a bucket of water to wash down the basin haha ............... this lasted one night and we upgraded to a more luxury room with ocean view in another hotel haha for $10 per room. We absolutley loved it, it was our first beach location weve reached but it chucked it down the whole time but that didnt stop me going in the sea the waves were absolutley massive, loved it!

There was alot of children beggers on the beach and they would ask you were your from and then when you say england they would list population, capitol city and loads of random facts so me and louise thought we would have a bit of fun and started making up random locations.....like estonia and scandanavia that soon stopped them in their tracks!!

We went out one night and got some angkor beer which was $0.25 and then got a bucket with all sorts in and watched these fire entertainers with sticks which was pritty cool. If it was sunny we would of stayed here much longer but booked a night bus out of there to vietnam which took a whopping 16 hours but we met a girl from brighton called emma whos been travelling round ho chi minh city with us.

We have heard some mad stories about HO CHi Minh City one was that you cant cross the road becasue the motorbikes dont stop for you and zebra crossings mean nothing and they were correct! Its absolutley mahem! We also got told that nearly always if they hit you on the bike and they injure you then it will cost them less in compensation if they finish the job and that means they will reverse back over you to make sure your dead so they dont have to pay medical costs haha

We joked about just seeing the left side of vietenam so we dont have to cross the road but weve managed it and now were pro's the trick is to walk slow so they have time to pass you either side no sudden movements!

We have had a right laugh iv been practicing my vietnamese and iv been told i Have very good prenounciation.

They have this sport over here called shuttlecock and its great its just people playing keep ups with a shuttle c*** rather than a football and im gunna buy one to send back. i think were gunna have a little spending spree in vietnam cause its dead cheap and the post service over here is good to send stuff back! We went for a meal tonight and this guy just came up to me out of the blue and started massaging my shoulders and before i could say no and wave him off he had my head in some kind of cripple lock and all sorts of moves, im sure he tried to gouge my eyes out at one point, while louise was just in stitches and when i got my hands back to say no go away he wanted money but i didnt give him any it was more like assault than massage haha but il post the picture up soon! haha iv probably missed stuff out cause weve left it too long to blog and iv tried to cram everything in!
