Another instalment to our blog......next place.........NOOSA! We initially booked two nights at Noosa but instead stayed for 12 nights haha The atmosphere in this place was incredible everybody was so chilled out laid back suited us just fine and dandy and the hostel was only the best hostel we've stayed at! First day we arrived we met our roomie and was only the best roomie we've had! Haha her name was Chandra and she was from.........wait for it.....saskatoooooon, sascatchewan in Canada makes Newcastle sound boring. She was amazing she was so happy all the time and whenever you were around her it rubbed off on you she also had a best friend called Karen and the four of us together had some great times!
That night we got invited down to the pub for open mic night to watch Chandra sing and was a great place to meet every one! The people at this hostel who worked here were all travellers from around the world and such great people.
First you had Sarah from England, the owner of the hammock and we used to go on chocolate runs together to the local food shop, educated us in the art of chocolate bars but unfortunately a terrible liar!!! Haha Great fun!
Second you have Chris from OZ, who was an adrenaline Buddhist who had a ski diving license, paragliding license and plane license; great, interesting guy!
Third there was Leo from England, who pulled the moves on every female backpacker who came through the door; great laugh and so friendly!
Fourth is Armin from Denmark, always chomping on something and up for a good laugh.
Fifth and last but not least mirco from germany, this guy taught me how to do friendship bracelets and he somehow convinces girls to take their tops off so he can take pictures of them haha but thats what he does for a living and he is surprisingly good; it's his profession!
Now that you've met the gang lets commence... the morning after was Australian day and its a massive thing over here it's a public holiday and we had decided to go to the infamous Eumondi markets, lo and behold Chandra had the same idea so we went together. The markets had everything but our favourite part was the food section obviously, free sample after free sample it was great, ginger beer, popcorn, chocolate nuts and free hand massages; the works.
That night we ended Australia day with a good old fashioned Aussie BBQ and watched the stars. The stars were unbelievable because there are no lights hardly! We spent 12 nights at Noosa so i'll fill you in on a few highlights of our stay.
I got up for sunrise the morning after OZ day and headed to the beach........ Was Louise in tow i hear you ask?........... don't be silly! It WOULD have been the best sunrise if only i didn't miss it haha i was badly informed on sunrise times so the sun had already risen up behind the sea by the time i got there not one cloud in the sky either. Anyway i managed to convince Louise and Chandra to do it again the following morning but again missed that one because our cameras died!! And i refused to do three sunrises in a row...... your talking about 4.30am wake up and its voluntary as well but there's something about it which i love because no one else is up at that time and you can get loads more done. Il try set the scene......its 5 am in the morning and it is deafly silent apart from the sound of the waves everything is so calm just sitting on the sand but as i look behind me...... Louise is doing laps up and down the beach, screaming trying to outrun them while swinging her arms in some kind of frantic punching action hoping to catch one directly on the nose.
One day we went on the national park walk which was a 6km coastal walk and is just stunning beach after stunning beach sometimes you have to just step back and try not take it for granted because there's that many stunning beaches. And the last part of the trek is over a nudist beach where we had to walk past old men with their tiddlers out haha i'm trying to look away but as i turn to Louise......here she is scrapping her sunnies and donning her prescription glasses for a better look haha
Then one night a big group of us headed to the beach with blankets and had a campfire on the beach under the stars with a box of wine which was excellent. We also completed the hill walk in the National Park and spotted a koala resting in the picnic area up his favourite tree.
The rest of the time I surfed pretty much every day, body boarded with Louise, cooked some great tea's had some awesome BBQs, watched a few DVD's, had some great fish and chips, watched a couple more sunrises, went to Sogo bar a few more times and met one eyed Timmy and generally had a great time with everyone!!!
We clicked so well with Chandra and Everyone that we're meeting up in NZ and may go see her in her home town of Saskatoon, schatchwan and i've said she's welcome in England so if you can just get the spare bedroom ready that would be great! Our 2 friends from a hostel in Sydney also came to Noosa on our last night and stayed at Dolphins with us, Leo somehow managed to get them to go skinny dipping at the beach haha. One last thing before we go, Alan feenan when we return it is going to be a mission of ours to see you sing at an open mic night.
Love adam and louise xx

Steph n Alan Hi Lou n Bob - we have just got back in from watching Katie n Chris abseil from the Transporter bridge. It was really cold - bit of wind and rain thrown in for good measure. We all looked like the blue gang. Kelly, Vikki and Tony came along as well. They were cold and hungover !! Katie and Chris raised £400 between them for the charity so it was brilliant. We were wondering instead of us getting the spare bedroom ready here how about you get the spare bedroom ready , and we'll come and meet Chandra there !!!! All sounds fun and busy busy over there. So pleased everything is still going well for you. Carry on.......nudist spotting or sorry should we say nature spotting. Be good - Love you Lots. Mam Dad and Katie n Tyke xxxx
mam and dad (m) hi adam and Louise-it sounds like you're really in loive with the world which is great to hear. Beautiful country with beautiful people- how on earth are you going to cope with back home. Badly I hear you say. Im really surprised at you being able to get up at 4.30 in the morning Adam voluntarily as well- its not so long when you wouldnt get up before 11.00am ona Saturday morning,,and it also sounds like you are both making up for lost time in the drinking department-all that eating and drinking sounds great but dont forget Louises allergy to nuts. Armir and Barbera advise start taking anti-histimine well before going to NZ as he got terrible hay fever there. Take care and love to you both xxx
