Hello to you all we are now in New Zealand. We flew into Christchurch last Friday night and stayed there over the weekend. The weather on Saturday wasn't very good but Sunday was much better and went and explored the Arts Centre market. We often saw the Christchurch trams but decided not to go on one. The only attraction that we vistited here was an Art gallery which was interesting and it kept us out of the cold. The real aventure started on Monday when we picked up our set of wheels that we hired; a white automatic Toyota Corrolla!! We drove down the penisular to a little place called Akaroa where we stayed the night, it had many little shops and cafes. That night we had to eat out after choosing to stay in a holiday park cabin which although it had a kitchen little did we know it was not an equipped kitchen. But the meal was very tastey. Yesterday was raining constantly and we basically didnt see anything more than what was outside the car windows. So we spent the evening watching tv at a very cosy hostel in Methven where we were ungraded to a room which a bathroom!! Now we are in Lake Takapo the scenery of the mountains is spectacular and we have just come back from a walk round part of the lake. Tomommow we are going to do a walk to Mount John's summit. Then make our way towards the Mount Cook area tomorrow afternoon. We are now feeling the cold like you lot in England, See you all in a few months Adam and Charlotte xx
