Our last full day in Oz was spent exploring the Blue Mountains, We got a train to Katoomba, which is 2 hours away from Sydney and then took the Explorer Bus around the area. Our first stop was at Echo Point to see the Three Sisters and to do the Giant Staircase walk. This staircase has 1000 steps down to the forest floor where we walked 2km to the Scenic Railway which took us up out of the valley. This is the worlds steepest railway at 55 degrees but it did save us walking a 1000 steps back up. After lunch we did our second walk from Gorden Falls to Luera Cascades which took us about 2 hours. This walk had so many spectacular views and you could definately spend more than a day exploring the Blue Mountains. We finally took the bus to Luera Village which had lots of craft shops it was from here that we got the train back to Sydney.
