Hi Kids!

Well...we're all done with tech and our preview performances!

Last night was our first performance in front of a paying audience, and it went very, very well. A few minor hitches here and there, but other than that it went pretty well. The audience certainly appreciated it. You know the weather last night was snowy and icy and generally crappy, so we weren't expecting a very large crowd. But we had this large group of high schoolers that came all the way from Altoona PA (about a three and a half hour drive)and they went absolutely NUTS!! I went out to the lobby afterwards and they all swarmed around me and exclaimed " We're doing FOOTLOOSE at our school!!" Very cute. Of course they dropped me like a hot potato when they saw some of the "kids" come out of the backstage door. Ahh well, fame is fleeting...

Afterwards, we had an opening night party at the Yorktowne Hotel. They closed the bar just for us so we could have our party. Free food, free drinks...Woo Hoo! Mr. Prather (the president of the company) gave a speech and then we partied down till the wee hours. I'm definitely going to have to pace myself with this crowd.

So, tomorrow it's back to NYC and then home for Christmas break and then we open for real in New Haven CT on the 26th...can't wait!!!!
