Next stop Jefferys Bay-world famous, so I was told, for being the home fo teh Billabong Surf championships-or somthing like that...famous for a beach called supertubes, which created waves that were really super. It was a nice little beach town; what really caught my attention was the Billabong, Ripcurl and Quicksilver outlet shops-oh how I love shopping! I used Pett as my base to do the Bloukrans bungy jump-the highest bridge jump in the world at 216m. I have never been so scared in my whole life but as soon as I felt myself jump off the bridge the fear turned into joy and I enjoyed evey second of it. I only got to do three or four bounces, but the scenery was stunning, and it really hurts your legs-so that was more than enough. I would definitely do it again.

Not much to say about Plett, apart from it was so good to be out of my hire car and relax on the beach for a day or two. Drove from Cape Town to here in one day, passing through Mossel Bay and Kysna, pretty little beach towns on the N2.

So off I go on my train adventure to Cape Town. I decided to get the 26 hour train as it gave me a chance to see a bit of South Africa, and what nice aprts there are to see. I opted for the 1st class sleeper train, 280 rand, which works out at about 14 pounds-not bad hey? For this you get to share a compartment with one other person-in my case a lovely old lady called Agnes, from Cape Town-with a seat which turns into a bed, staff that come round with meal orders...

So I finally made it to South Africa. After a 14hour flight I was whisked through the city-(it's huge!) to my hostel. JoBerg is actually quite nice and seems safe-easy to walk around during daylight hours, but not so sure how it works at nighttime. I got an early night in readyness for my trip to Zimbabwe.
