Finally arived after a 10 hour bus journey-all very comfy though. Sandy was waiting for me which was a nice relief-and it was really nice to see her too. Stayed for a couple of days at her house, with Steve and Craig and Nathanial (her two boys). Got taken to see the higlights of Prosie...namely the POW (Prince of Wales pub), where that night they were having a kareoke comp. It was not very nice-ears bleeding, etc-but good fun and nice to chat to the locals! A very sedate night-back by 2ish, all ready to see the sights of Airlie the next day.

Airlie Beach is very much like Cairns, geared for tourists, a lagoon next to the sea (was advised by Craig not to swim in it due to the high content off tadpoles (and not the frogy kind) in it! Nice enough beach to lay on, and that's about all I did-it's simply a stop off point for the Whitsundays and booking Fraser Island, which is just where I'm off next!
