Lots of sight seeing in Lima, the capital city of peru...mostly the sights have been shops and bars! Went to a gay club last night...I´ve never been so scared in all my life! I thought us girls would eb pretty safe....we were from the guys, but not from the girls! As soon as we got in this girls tried it on with me (around 7 times in all we counted). She said she was in love with me, that I would be in her dreams...you get the picture! Even our gay friend tried...

Ica...home to the highest dunes in the world so they say-thank god we didn´t go sand boarding down any of them! Had a great morning here zooming down the dunes on our boards. Sand everywhere, a few scrapes and lots of bruises..but so much fun! Some of the dunes were quite steep..and we got up some speed, the only way to slow down ebing to ram your feet into the sand-actually quite hard when you´re going so fast! After lunch we had a swim at the oasis...rathe...

Nasca...not as great as I´d thought it would be. Didn´t do the flight as was told it was not really worth it, and after a night bus from hell really didn´t want to get up that early especially for that privellage. On our way to Ica we stopped at the watch tower to view two of the lines, the tree and the hand. The ground where the lines are can no longer be walked or driven on, but this only came into effect about 30 years ago, so there are lots of other track...

And so we get to Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru. Quite pretty with a huge catholic monastary which is now a major tourist attraction due tot he fact that it has been closed to the public for so long. From here we visited the famous Colca Canyon...supposedly a similar size to the grand canyon in America. We did a hike up the valley to see some Inca tombs which were pretty cool. The hotel we stayed in was built on an Inca burial site...not the wisest of...

Rio-what a place! The city and the people are very full on. We visited a Favella on the first day-ever seen City of God and you~ll get an idea of what it is like. Although there is a lot of poverty and drugs-the people are very nice and trying to get on in life-whether that means through education, selling pictures or selling drugs. After the city tour we went to the Maracana Stadium-the largest football stadium in the world (i think) to see two local teams pla...
