Noosa, an upmarket tourist destination. I only really came here as a break in my journey-and to go to the Australia Zoo-home to the famous Steve Irwin. Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the world. I did the tour from Hervey Bay-a small beach town with nothing really going for it other than the Fraser tours. Went with two German girls I had met on the Whitsunday boat which made the trip a bit more memorable. Day one saw us meet the group; 6 Germans, 2 French, 1 Irish and me.
