Today is our last full day aboard the Rotterdam. We leave tomorrow morning so today we have a few things to clear up as well as pack up all our belongings. We go up to breakfast at 8am and find it relatively calm. I think most people were sleeping in this morning so we had a nice peaceful meal. Two eggs, one sausage, English muffin, prunes, orange juice and coffee for me. Mom had scrambled eggs, ham and half a waffle with blueberries with jasmine tea.
At 9:30 we walk out to the pool to check out a last minute sale on shirts, jewelry and accessories. It doesn't even start until 10am and the people are already grabbing stuff as the staff is trying to set it up. Mom gets two t-shirts for $5 each. Score! We return to our room and while I send out several blogs, Mom continues to pack. No lectures today. At 1pm, we go to the Lido for some fish and chips and return so Karen can continue packing our suitcases. She gets them all under 50 lbs. using our portable scale and this goes on until 5 when its time to get ready for our last dinner. Tonight in the dining room I have beef stroganoff and Mom has turkey. We both have the creme brûlée for desert. We skip the show tonight.
Now it's errand time. Karen gets change for $100 bill at the front desk and gives our cabin steward, Antone, $20. We purchase a $40 video of our trip on the ship. We set our clocks back one hour for the final time. I try to print our Southwest boarding passes but the SWA system is not working so I just check in. I hope I can print the pass at the airport tomorrow. We place our four bags outside our door and we'll see them on the pier tomorrow.
