We enjoyed a relaxing day today. Slept in, hung out some washing ( amazing how much pleasure it gives me to do the washing), headed into Greve to check out the local market. Lots of fruit, veggie, meat stalls, and fairly cheapish clothing. We found an excellent salamu shop, full of all sorts of cured meats, lots of varieties of salami, cheeses and other such produce. So we picked up a few smelly things and after coffee and tiramisu ( we are in Italy) we headed home for lunch, a swim and some toe nail painting.

Sadly we didn't have a ball for the pool, so I ingeniously (if I do say so myself) made up a ballish sort of thing out of a plastic bag and strawberry punnet. It did the trick, kept us entertained in the pool for well over an hour. Unfortunately our pleasure was constantly interrupted by several bees that just kept circling us, buzzing so loudly, seemed particularly keen to annoy Alex.

Tonight we lashed out and went back into town for dinner - more pasta, at the same place! Went for an evening stroll up the lane near our house, joined by Priska, the dog, who ran down a steep hillside after a pinecone Alex had accidentally thrown, we were so worried she would not be able to get back up, but she obviously knew what she was dong as she bounded back up in no time. Phew.

Packed our cases again as tomorrow we are off to Venice - a short 5 hour drive away - Yeah!!
