Davis here, back to save the blog! Our first day in Oslo was awesome! After Wednesday's easy flight and baggage claim, we found our hotel and obnoxiously ate at a TGI Friday's. What can we say, fried food makes us feel at home. We got an early start this morning, around 10, and saw the national gallery of art. Nice museum....and we got to see The Scream, best part! After that, we walked to the royal palace and then to the city hall. Even though it is the royal freaking palace, I liked the city hall better.....maybe because we could go inside the city hall, or maybe it's because Dad kept saying "monarchy in any form is an abomination" while we were at the palace, haha...kidding, he does say that a lot though! Also, after today's touring I learned one important thing.........murals are key to grandeur! The city hall was filled with them and it was so amazing looking! It is because of this simple fact that I am spear-heading the full scale rennovation of our Pickens, SC home. After all is said and done, there will be no less than 50 life size murals adorning our walls, each depicting the different stages of each family members' life. For example, Katherine's mural might have a scene of her during, let's say.....her patch days; while Trent's would consist of only head shots.....both for comedic and practical purposes, we only have so much paint, haha! I am of course kidding, although this does open the door to a series of funny jokes and images, lol! Anyway, back to out trip. Tomorrow we will try tackle the rest of Oslo.....look for more awesome pictures!
