Great day in Montreal!

We had free time in the morning, so I just wandered around the town poking in shops. It was a bit rainy and overcast, so nothing much else to do really.

12 noon we met back at the hostel because we had a 2pm booking for....guess what??? A jet boat ride!!! Awesome!!

We caught the train in together to the "Old Montreal" area to the wharfs.

They showed us a video about what to expect, and it was not what I thought. I thought it was just a fast jet boat with a few 360's and you might get a bit of a spray. The had told us to bring a change of clothes. Oh My God! The video looked so scary I nearly backed out! I didn't know it was in rapids!!!!

I'm so glad I did it because it was one of the highlights of the trip so far!! It was so much fun, and you don't get sprayed with a bit of water...you get drenched!

After that we had lunch at a pub, but the meals were very slow and we were there about 2 1/2 hours. By the time we came out it was raining, and after 5.30pm, so the group decided to just train it back home. They were going out on a pub crawl and all wanted to get ready. I didn't want to crawl pubs, so I took the opportunity to wander the town a bit from 6pm-8.30pm - the shops were open till 9pm.

Then I enjoyed a quiet night in by myself, skped the folks for awhile, and resorted my suitcase. I've been on the go for 2 1/2 weeks, so it was nice to chill and recharge.

Driving back into US to Stowe tomorrow.
