Ok not sure how to start this one. Things have changed for the better and worse. When something seems to good to be true it usually is, and unfortunately we did not safari with our danish friends. Car issues and he was hired for a money making safari which pooched ours. He and his wife still drove us 4 hours up the coast to Watamu. Seems like we are just settling into a good life at Diani beach and its time to move on. Met some very nice people and made a lot of friends, from the tuk tuk driver to the chapati lady, local fish man and all the staff at the cottage where we are staying. Only more small encounter with a Baboon but it was a female in the kitchen and she fled quickly, reminded me of…never mind. We are now basically living on the beach with our own private kite spot. There is a kiting place about 1km down wind if we want to play with others on the water. Usually we end up there for a beer at happy hour and swap kite stories with fellow kiters mostly from Europe. The nice aspect of this place is that we are within spitting distance of the beach , the only draw back is that we have gone from monkey town to baboon town.
