Back from a good 8 days of backpacking...not sure I would do this for 10 month! I really enjoy finding a great place with good people, and getting to know my way around. Having said that, John and I visited 4 cool places with each their own ups and downs. Belem: a great market but insanely hot. Marajo: cool ferry ride, amazing boeuf but not so friendly people. Alter de chao: touristy, expensive but beautiful. The Jungle: scary but gigantic. Check out the pics...
