Got up about 8 and had breakfast in Premiere Classe. Cycled in normal clothes to Strasbourg main station to try to book a train from Frankfurt to Venlo. The booking clerk explained that could sell me a ticket, but couldn't book a bike space. He suggested booking at Kehl station, just 10km away across the Rhine in Germany. So I went there, but the booking office was closed as it was Sunday and Kehl is quite a small place. I had a spot of lunch in the station cafe and found out that the booking office opened on Monday at 8am. As I was leaving a local loonie took a fancy to my bike and sugested swapping it with his! Back in Strasbourg I toured the cathedral, which was the tallest church in Europe until the 19th century. Then to Petite France by the river (see photo) where I had the local 'shapeless' Alsace pasta. I had a chat with a family from Cork who were at the next table. Back to the hotel for a early night as it's an early rise tomorrow.
