Finally got to see the sea for the first time....sooooo exciting! was gorgeous, sand and clear sea and palm trees and sun! and the chance to get an even tan! was lush! there were longtail boats all along the shore, looked so cute. stayed on the beach till 6, so the sun was just starting to go down. boats were coming in and mooring for the night...loverly! and no jellyfish.....just stupid things called sea lice, which are microscopic, so u can see them and they sting you! im such a wuss! headed out to Kho Phi Phi the next day which is where the beach was filmed. We were on the speed boat for the day and we had the front of the boat the whole time :) speed boat was so much fun, bounced over the waves reallyl quickly, saw two ...yes two PODS of dolphins!!! not just one dolphin but lots....was so exciting, we all stood up and the boat turned suddenly...man grabbed on to me to stop us falling over! during the day we visited 8 islands, and stopped off and jumped of the boat to snorkel. the mean man on the boat was chucking bread at you whilst you were in the water so the fish came and got you, there were thousands!!! so i didnt get in, i just lived the dream of laying on the front of the boat! hehe! Maya Bay is where the beach was filmed, stopped here for about an hour. got off the boat the sand was like flour was gorgeous the see was so clear was amazing! doesnt look like the film though, the beach is alot smaller and the entrance to the bay is a lot bigger! sneaky camera men! i climbed a rock in the sea to get a really good pic, but in the end just cut my leg in the process! sooo not glamorous! (cant believ i just had to sing fergies song to find out how to spell that word!!) haha! im writing this and am very excited for australia, so its probably a bit crazy!!! we stopped off at an iosland for lunch, there were swigs hanging from the trees that were just above the sea and hammocks on the beach! could have stayed there forever! last island we visited was really quiet, that was by far the ebst as not so many boats around. The next day we went to Koh Sukorn. We stayed on this island for two days, theres only about 2000 people on the island, had the whole beach tp ourselves, was ery relaxing! that night got drunk on the beach, was fun night! its so cheap to drink, my plan of not drinking didnt last very long! from this isalnd we headed to a private island! this was AMAZING! white sand, coral, massive shells, palm trees, hammocks, clear water...and no one else around! we camped on the beach. set up our tents and from them you were a meter of the beach, such good view when woke up in the morning of surrounding islands. at night you could see the stars aswell. the moon rose out of the sea and was bright orange. that night i just slept outside for a few hours not in the tent becasue it was so hot!! worst nights sleep ever!!! but the moon made up for it! toilets on the island i was not impressed....in the nrth we started with squat toilets, then it went to western toilets you flush yourself, then real toilets....and now we were back o basics again including a bush with a view!!! sorry to share that with everyone!!! the only other people on the island were the fisherman that come for a month and then go back home for a while! but we never saw them as they were round the corner. me zoe and james went round the corner and sunbathed whilst singing our little hearts out, the joys of no one else being around :) we went on a sea safari, the boat took us out to other islands where there was coral abnd thousands of different fish...nemo was there....yes i fouind him!! and bright blue and pink fish! i faced my fear of the fish because the coral was amazing, but it didnt last long as one touched me!!! we were heading back on the boat to our island and we saw a massive police boat looked like a war boat, and on the isalnd there was about 20 police! was kindfa scary, was thinking hmmm whats going on here then! some people that stayed on the island told us they got questined by the police, they all had massive guns, but apparentyl it was jsut routine! the big chief of the area came aswell to check the island, they did a big search..was quite exciting! that night we built a massive fire on the ebach was surprised we actually got it to burn. the enxt morning we were due to leave the island but had to wait as the waves were really big, finally we could leave but it was the worst boat jpourney, especially as its a wooden longtail boat, people at the front got so wet, the wave s were about 2ft whihc is quite big! we headed back to the mainland to try and beat the rain...but no we didnt..absolutely chucked it down! they put the covers down on the boat so we couldnt see anything, but so we stayed dry...interesting experience!!! ha! ran from the boat to the bus, got absolutely drenched in the process...luckily some other guy moved all our bags...they were alot wetter!!! we arrived in trang, anmd had to wait a few hours for our 15.5 hour train journey! oh boy were we looking forward to that!!!! my last day in bangkok now :( leave for the airport in about 1hr and half! sad to leave thailand, as has been absolutely amazing! definately going to come back...especailyl to party down the south!!! :) next blog will be from oz!! xxx
