Was up at the crack of dawn to catch the 7am bus to Jerantut... waited a bit and assumed I'd been told the wrong time and it came at 7.30am instead, then it ticked towards 8am. Mayalsia's Taman Negara: the oldest rainforest in the world (although who and how this was decided this I don't know)! The journey there was... long, as most seem to be. A cramped minivan stuffed with 12 of us plus bags was on the road for three hours from KL to Jerantut, where we hung around for another two hours in a hostel's tour office. Melaka wasn't quite the sleepy historical town we had in mind. I ended my last night in Bangkok just as I'd started it way back in October... eating street food down a dirty alley, so everything's come full circle.
