Se we arrived in Koh Phi Phi Don and I liked it straight away, it had a really nice vibe and soo beautiful, it is right next to the beach island. The first night we went out wandering and found some bamboo tattoo parlours so Kirsty decided to get her new tattoo done, its of a bird and an orchid on the right of her back. It was quite cool to watch as they just put a needle on the end of a piece of bamboo and then do it by hand, apparently not that painful either. This took about 2.5 hours though so by the time we left I was a little bored. hehe. We decided to check out the Reggae bar where tourists can do Thai boxing, which we had been recommended and we ran into the 3 Aussie girls from Koh Phangan just outside. They had already been on the island for 10 days already just not able to leave as they also loved it. We went with them to a bar called Tiger bar where I drank a bucket, Kirsty still not drinking, and we danced alot, sweating loads.
The next day we spent on the beach and then sat down for some food at a beach bar as the island was engulfed in some black clouds, we moved under an umbrella and sa there as the heavens opened, it was actually really nice and refreshing to be chilly for once, yes Im actually missing being cold!! The rain didnt last long and we headed back for a nap before going out. We arranged to meet the Aussies at 10 but ran into them early and decided to go to a bar called Calicos which is famous for a fire throwing show, it was really good. Then we went back to tiger bar for a boogie. By 2am when it shut, none of us (accept Kirsty who still wasnt drinking) wanted to go home, so me and the Aussies went to the beach where we decided it would be a good idea to go for a swim, but the tide had gone way out and there were loads of rocks blocking our way so we gave up the idea, returned to our stuff to find that my bag and Elanas wallet had been stolen. So the rest of the night was spent searching and at the police station, finally getting to bed for about 5am.
So having lost my camera, phone and purse the next day I was not in the best of moods, but after a proper English fry up in the little Britain cafe including baked beans (we have been craving them) and PG tips and brown sause!! I started to look on the bright side. I had just changed the memory card in my camera so not many photos lost, there were no card in my wallet so I just lost what little cash I had left after a night on the buckets (not much I imagine) and the phone is easily cancelled and replaced.
So for our final night we booked onto a camping trip to Maya bay, where the film The Beach was filmed. So at 3pm we went to meet our group, they were a good crowd, about 20 people, and we got chatting to a honeymooning couple, a couple of English lads, a German guy and a Scottish pilot. It was amazing, we stopped to do some snorkling on the way and saw a Nemo fish. Then once at the beach it was so nice to have it to ourselves, remember the millions of tourists that were there the time we went on the day trip??
We all sat around chatting, singing with a guitar, drinking, and then loads of us went for a swim, however again the tide was out and i have lots of little cuts from the coral, finally getting to bed around 4am apparently (my watch was also in the bag that was stolen). Waking up there was also really amazing, went straight in the clear blue water for a swim.
So after another Little Britain breakfast and film we go our ferry at 2pm to come to Bangkok. The ferry took 1.5 hours, then a minibus took 2 hours, then the bus took 10 hours. It was ok, the seats recline loads and they play films, very loudly, so after watching The Italian Job and Shooter I got about 4 hours sleep.
So we are now in Bangkok, arrived at 5am this morning, and its raining so we have taken refuge in an internet cafe until we can get into our room at about 1pm. I am exhausted as I have worked out I have had about 10 hours sleep in the last 4 days and 3 nights so my appologies if none of this make sense.
