Hey hey Katie..... Jammin'.
Happy Birthday Sarah! xo
So we're in Vancouver and yeah... not impressed. Caught the bus up on Tuesday and met Bob the trucker at Seattle Greayhound station - awesome. He was old and had a moustache and was wearing a leather vest and had a hat that said 'The Highway is my Way'. And he was eating chicken. Anyway, bus trip, blah blah, customs, blah blah...
On the first night we went out to a comedy club night thing organised by the hostel - met some nice people and had fun but spent waaaay too much money and had waaaay too many drinks. So spent all day Wednesday feeling yuck and bleh, didn't really do anything.
Today we went for a walk around Stanley Park and saw totem poles and squirrels and amused ourselves mimicking statues (see our photos when we put them up tomorrow - this damn hostel won't let us do it on their computers). Then we sat in front of a supermarket gossiping for about an hour, then saw 'Walk Hard' (which is hilarious so you should all watch it). And now we're here.
We're leaving for Toronto tomorrow - flying (no more stupid bus!) and staying in a hotel for a couple of nights (double beds! Our own bathroom! CABLE TV!). Bob the trucker and 'Walk Hard' were the best things about Vancouver. So overrated. The squirrels were also cool. Otherwise - meh. There are half built buildings everywhere and ugly industrial boat things and it's just a bit dull. Plus it's stupid Valentine's Day and there are stupid couple's with flowers everywhere. Boys smell. And we can't put our photos up. Jess says "Damn it!".
Oh right, so there were some cool things we forgot to mention about Seattle - a few of the shops just had cats walking around in them, they were very cute. This one bookshop had like ten of them just wandering around and cat beds and stuff everywhere, and one of them stood on my (Sarah's) head. Also, at the Science Fiction Museum we saw Captain Kirk's chair - very, very cool.
Hotel tomorrow yaaaaaar!!!
