An early 6am campsite start. It is still raining, miserable and cold. We have decided heading up the Norwegian coastline in not a good idea as weather and road conditions are going to make it slow going. The plan therefore is to cross back into Sweden. This plan turns out to be good one as we get into Sweden, the weather although still very chilly starts to dry up. Good choice from roads point of view as well, lovely sweeping bends roads getting slowly more deserted as we head North. After completing a staggering 530 miles we arrive at the Artic Campsite in a place called jokkmokk. Well laid out and neat we have a tidy cabin for the night for me, Steve, Nick and garry. It has a bonus of its own shower and toilet and lovely cosy and warm.

One downside of today was that I lost my glasses after leaving them on the back of the bike by mistake, rode off, the glasses fell off and then got crushed by a following motorist. Good thing I have packed a spare pair.

Another long day in the saddle tomorrow as we hope to get to Norde cap.
