Our first stop after PE was Chinsa a very nice place on the beach. First day we lazed around until 4.15 when 10 litres of wine were brought down to the volleyball courts and wine inspired beach volleyball began. It was good fun, even managed to drink some of the cheap white wine. Keeley took a volleyball to the face at full pelt but survived a little dazed. We had a very good but late night.
Next day very like the one before except no volleyball and no white wine for me at least. Still it was another late night, decided to leave next day to avoid any more late nights. Just a note to say lots of creepy crawly things a massive spider and a night adder. We were told the night adder was not that dangerous just potential nerve damage very reassuring.
Coffee Bay once again an amazing setting. The campsite was next to the ocean and we had a giant hammock big enough for four in the tree next to our tent. First full day in Coffee bay we did a cliff walk to Hole in the Wall. The walk was stunning the wild coast is amazing. We did get lost a little bit and had to walk along the edge of the cliffs. Keeley almost fell to her doom but we made it unscaved. Our guide was a dog who followed us all the way from the village to Hole in the Wall. Hole in the Wall is a small town with a big rock in the sea next to it with you guessed it a hole in it. The hole is a giant archway it looked impressive. On the way back we were joined by another three dogs. All six of us made the walk back. Back at the Coffee Shack (our hostel) we met a nice bunch of people and yes had a few drinks.
Next day weather not to great but we went to the beach for a few hours. In the afternoon we made costumes for the space party Keeley, Rich, Natalie and I were the only ones in costume. Keeley had spacey makeup and a black hole on her chest. I used lots on tin foil as well some scrap metal to make me look like a cyborg. We all eneded up with free drinks, cocktails and punch. It was a very good late night.
Sun out for beach day with about another dozen people. Free surf lessons I found the standing up part easy the hardest part was trying to catch a wave. Spent a good hour in the sea I am becoming a fan of surfing. I really enjoyed the surfing and we also played a little bit of beach volleyball again. An early night today we needed it. Next stop Durban.
