We left Nauklaft early and headed to the dunes dropping off our tent enroute. We were not going to get the sunrise but headed straight for Soussvlei. We stopped at the two wheel drive car park and walked 5 kilometres. Keeley was not happy about this walking in sand just to get a big pile of sand just to walk up sand. It was impressive a lot of sand, we hiked up a couple of dunes took a few photos and then hiked back five kilometres. It was very hot and the tourists in there shuttles waving did not cool us down. We went then to dune 45 a big dune we did not climb this one but did have lunch at the foot. Outside the gates we went to Sesriem canyon this was good fun a couple of kilometers walking but in the shade and got to clamber around rocks. We then drove back to the campsite parked the car got out had a puncture not happy. Had to change this one myself took a little longer but not too bad. After a beer and a swim felt a little better about the car but will be happy to be rid of it.

Drove only a short distance the next day to Mariental where we fixed up the tyre and spentn the afternoon relaxing in the sun. Got back to Windhoek and took the car back not charged for anything. They did ask about the tyres I said we had had no problems.

A free day in NWindhoek we thought we had best dosomething so went to the art gallery. It was a very nice gallery worth a visit. Did little else until our bus left 20 hours to South Africa.
