Aaron and Beckys Surfari!
Well, our last few days in Hawaii were fun. We acted like tourists and did it well!
We went and had free Ukelele lessons and the free Lei making lessons (yes they were lovely!), inspired by our ukelele skills we went to the cheap market and bartered one down for a tenner. Following this we celebrated with the local beverage of a Mai Tai, as we have been T-Total pretty much for 3 months, we went and played our ukelele on the side of the street like a couple of drunks and got moved on!
Now in Australia, we spent our first day finding flights to inod and health precautions etc. Bit stressful, but we did well. Flying to Bali on saturday 20th May and returning a month later, in that we have also got a weeks flight to Lombok. Following the success of this, we went and bought a Steak and then proceeded to hire a van. Couldnt get a rust bucket with tellitubbies on it this time as they were all out, so we went to another more upmarket company and got a high top with full cooking facilities and fridge for 15 pounds each! Travelling round, we feel like a couple of proper hippies (especially as i now own those rainbow style flip flops which your mum made you wear when you were 7, but are now cool amongst travellers! I only have them though as someone stole my others and thats all that was in the supermarket. Honest!!)
We headed staright down Byron Bay as the swell seemed good for there, we have been sleeping in a picnic area and surfing with the dolphins in the crystal clear waters of Tallows beach. Have stayed clear of the crazy parties here so far, but Becky is starting to twitch like a recovering alcoholic, so not sure how long the drought will last!
Gonna head north later to see a bit more of the coast before flying out on saturday.
Hope everyone is well, and yes, it is coming into winter here, but im still wearing shorts in the sea, and the sun is still hot hot hot!!!!
