Well, we arrived in San Jose after a sketchy taxi ride, we have decided we dont need to do a bungee jump now! San Jose was pretty run down and looked poor, we stayed in a backpackers here which was a bit of a shock, but now that seems like luxury!!! A very hot sweaty long bus journey through some amazing mountains with lush greenery, and vultures took us to Jaco. Jaco is Costa Ricas version of NEwquay in the summer! There are lots of surf shops so we managed to find ourselves a brand new board each, both got a 6'2"!! The waters warm, we got up at 5 for a surf as it was so light. Huge pelicans were flying so close to the water they nearly had us for dinner. There's some really prehistoric looking gheko's and lizards etc. eek!! Weve met a couple of Canadians, one who has been travelling for quite a while and seems to know whats what.So, tomorrow we will head up the coast to Puntarenas to catch a ferry and find these amazing waves!!!
