Iguazu falls in one word amazing one of the best most amazing sites in south america. We managed to drag ourselves out of bed after drinking for 8 am bus. We started our tour of the park on a very good mark seeing Toucans and a strange mouse rabbit type thing. Then on our way to our first site of the falls saw a river otter. Getting more and more excited we both felt like school kids as we got our first site the devils throat. Amazing hard to descride any better. On the way back walked along the tracks and saw some cappochino monkeys asia had not worn down our appreciation and enjoyed watching them monkey around (groans all round). We then thought it would be a good idea to go and do a boat ride under the falls. It was wet really wet think you could not of got more wet diving. All around the park are no swimming signs and we looked pretty guilty of this. An amazing time loved it, only us and two older woman all drenched and histerical every time we went under the falls. However we were a tad cold afterwards drank a cup of tea and watched the local wildlife some sort of racoon creature try to eat everyones food. Then we decided to go back get warm and return tomorrow.
The next day up early again and back at the park for more amazing views. The falls truly are magestic and awe insprining in a way that nothing else so far has been. It was raining this day that made the falls even more impressive very glad to have come just after the rain. Went accross to San Martin Island where it was away from the maddening crowd full of vultures and yes more veiws of the falls. In the afternoon headed out on the nature trail. It was very muddy we did not see another soul the whole two hours. However we did see a funny pig type thing and a large monkey. That night we had a couple of drinks at our hostel with friends before heading to another hostel to see more friends. They had already gone out so we had another couple of drinks before heading into town. Where we did not find our friends but did find another couple of drinks.
Next day we had to move over the border to Brazil a little hungover but a very easy crossing. The falls from the otherside gave us a great overview but on the whole the Argentina side more impressive. Next stop Paratay and hopefully sun.
