Today, I joined three other girls from the hostel in exploring the islands around Venice. In Murano, there is world famous glass blowing, so we took in some exhibits and strolled the shops along the canals. There is an incredible glass blown comet in the square.

We headed for Lido to go to the beach for the afternoon. The Venice International Film Festival was taking place on Lido. No Brad Pitt or George Clooney sightings for me.

I had gelato twice! Mmmm! My health kick is in full swing. Ciao!
