Nei ho from Hong Kong!
I met the kids Lance teaches for - Colin, Mallory and Lauren - as well as his colleague, Jodie. During the week, I spend my time looking for employment, wandering around the area and tagging along on field trips.
We took the kids to a tea house for a tea party. It's similar to wine tasting in that you're supposed to smell the tea before drinking. It's also customary to tap the table twice to thank the person distributing the tea.
We also went to the Hong Kong History & Science Museum, where we visited the sport section to learn how the different activities relate to science.
Today, physical education class was wakeboarding in the South China Sea!! So incredible! I had never been wakeboarding, but I got up and had a fantastic time. My forearms, however, have been screaming ever since. I have been popping pills all the time to ease the pain, but apparently, my forearms are quite delicate.
A fun fact: the instructor's name was Hammer, and yes, her ringtone was "Can't Touch This." Classic. Next week, P.E. will hopefully be deep sea fishing!
