My third weekend started with cocktails on a rooftop and a visit to the Lan Kwai Fong district. This district is known for its bars, parties and nightlife. Naturally, I had to partake in the festivities...in fact, I probably led them! Just a little fyi: wine and tequila do not mix.
The Hong Kong Comedy Festival Finals were taking place, so on Saturday, we took in an evening of laughter. Of course, Lance enjoys that every night when I'm around ;) It's a gift. What can I say?
Our Sunday excursion was to Cheung Chau Island. Hong Kong is a very international city, but it's convenient that we can just take a ferry ride to a nearby island and feel like we're actually in a foreign country. I was feeling tall among the locals, as we walked along the beautiful beaches. Unfortunately, most of the island had the general aroma of fish. We had some authentic Chinese fare for lunch, at a place that I probably wouldn't have eaten in had I seen the kitchen. We hiked along the trails on the outside of the island, enjoying some amazing views of the sea.
Just got our tickets to mainland China! Very excited to see Guilin!
