Raj: It's been a busy couple of days seeing the sites in Singapore. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) underground rail has been a great way to travel. The heat and humidity has been draining at times and we miss the cooler NZ temperatures! There are lots of people, shops, and food. It certainly hasn't been a dieting trip! Tomorrow we leave for Malacca, Malaysia.
Harley: We visited the Singapore Flyer, the worlds largest Ferris wheel at 165m high. We got to see lots of great views all over the city. Looking out from there we could see like a billion ships out in the harbour. Lots of freight ships. The weather is very very warm and humid.
Yesterday we went to Sentosa Island and swam in the sea. It was about 28 degrees, really warm, and it was refreshing and cooled me down. On our street where we are staying in Chinatown, there are lots of markets where it's really cheap to buy things. I bought a new watch, it is black and red, and a key ring.
Anoushka: Last night around 6.30pm we visited the Night Safari, at the zoo. There were lots of animals there that aren't in Wellington Zoo like porcupine, servals, and flying squirrels. My favourite animal was the otters, because they are really good swimmers and they make cute noises. We went to a show at the end and the otters came out and they were pretty clever because they picked up different types of rubbish and put them in the correct recycling bins. After that there was also a great giant snake called Maggi and a man came up and volunteered to hold the snake and it wrapped itself around his body and some people were really FREAKED OUT!!!.
