Harley: We have been in Las Vegas for the last 5 days. One highlight has been visiting the Grand Canyon. It took 3 hours to drive there but it was worth it. First we went to Haulapai Ranch. There we took a horse and carriage ride. Next we went to Eagle Point and walked the Skywalk. Skywalk is a glass platform that you can walk on and look down at the canyon 4000 ft below! It was very scary looking down. Then we went to the Native American village. We saw lots of Native American tipis. Lastly we went to Guano Point where you got a 360 degree view of the Grand Canyon. The canyon runs for 288 miles and the Colorado River runs through it. When we got back.
When we got back later in the day, we went to Shark Reef. I saw a komodo dragon, crocodile, python, jelly fish, lion fish, sting rays and sharks. I got to touch a sting ray.
Another highlight while in Las Vegas was the 2 shows that we went to. The first show was called the Ultimate Variety Show. It had juggling, roller skating, a rhythmic gymnast, a magician and a comedian. Wally Eastwood was the host for the show and he was very funny. He did an act where he bounced balls on a keyboard to play a song. The other show was called Cirque Du Soleil Mystere. It had lots of gymnastics and involved lots of acrobats. There were 2 strong men lifting each other up while moving around. There was also a really funny host who was chucking popcorn on people.

Anouk: While we have been in Las Vegas the highlights have been the Grand Canyon, 2 shows and The Secret Garden.
We woke up at 6am to drive to the Grand Canyon because it took three hours to get there! The Grand Canyon is 288 miles long! When we first got there we got to go on a free horse and carriage ride which was really fun because Harley and I got to sit up front with the driver. He showed us a dinosaur foot print while we were riding. After the carriage ride we took the bus to Eagle Point were we went on the Skywalk and saw all the amazing views. On Skywalk we had to wear slipper over our shoes so our feet wouldn't scratch the glass. When I looked down I felt like I was looking down at the Grand Canyon while floating in the air. Down the bottom was the Colorado River which is 45 feet deep. Someone told us that the river can change colour from light green to dark red. After Eagle Point we went to Guano Point where we saw more views.
Two days ago we went to a show called the Ultimate Variety Show. We saw people do magic tricks, roller skating, gymnastics, putting funny masks on people, and my favourite was the host. The host (Wally Eastwood) was my favourite because he could juggle with anything, like ping pong balls using his mouth and hats on his head. He would yell "Go Wally Go Faster" and then juggle really fast and my favourite thing that he did was to play the piano by bouncing balls on the keys to play a song.
Yesterday it was our last day on the trip and we went to The Secret Garden where we got to see dolphins, lions, tigers and leopards. We first saw the dolphins playing, doing tricks and swimming while being with their trainers. One thing that we all learnt was how dolphins sleep! First dolphins shutdown one half of their brain and rest, then they shutdown the other half of their brain and sleep. After seeing the dolphins we went to see the lions, tigers and leopards. We first saw the lazy lions. They were so lazy as all they did was lie in the sun all day long. Next we went to see the tigers, they were huge. In the cage there were three white tigers and one orange tiger. Two white tigers rolled over and fought because one of them tried to steal the other one's food! The best thing about seeing the tigers was when the orange tiger was sitting on a branch and then one white tiger came up to him and they kissed!!!
Later that night we went to another show called Mystere which was a variety of acrobats, strong men, a funny man who did weird things, a weird baby, a guy who could hold a huge square with one foot while dancing with it and more. We first saw the baby who was playing with a yoga ball. It was really funny because he made someone in the audience his papa and he made his papa dress up like him, bounced the ball with him and then ride in a go cart with him that he crashed!!! The acrobats were awesome because they did flips, then they would grab the other persons hands, flip and bounce off the big net at the bottom. When the funny guy was doing something a girl dressed up in a bird costume came up to me and blew me a kiss. The funny man did all sorts of things like throwing popcorn on people, taking a girl's boy friend away so he could sit with her and other hilarious stuff!!!
