Hi guys, apologies for the delay in updating this, been a hectic week for us looking for accommodation and sight seeing!
Firstly was Woolloomooloo and Sydney Harbour Bay, as you can see the views aren't bad and the weather was shocking! We spent our U.K New Year in the Botanical Gardens at 25degree heat in the shade, while we're guessing it was about -5 for you lot?! Shame!
Whilst in Sydney we managed some shopping, lots of eating, hardly any alcohol though, but food gooood! Found a great cafe called Charlies in Woolloomooloo, gorgeous food and a great owner, gave Helen free chips!! Suprisingly we ate there a bit!
As many of you know we stayed in a hotel for the first three nights which was lovely, air con and full works, but unfortunately we couldnt live the life of luxury any longer due to the many pennies needed!! So after looking around a few garages for a campervan we realised it could take us quite a while to get set up, so we bought a tent!!! Two people, 50kg of bulky luggage, all in a 3-man tent in 30degree heat, fun!
The campsite we found is at the top of a National Park with stunning sites and an abundance of wildlife (more pics to follow). Our neighbours are currently Larry, Louis and Lewis the Bearded Dragons, as well as Bruce Gobbler (turkey looking thing) just to name a few! Not had chance to walk the park yet, are waiting for a cooler day as Helen is weak and lame!! Outdoor pool on campsite very cooling, but full of little sh**s that enjoy splashing the cold water about whilst you're trying to read by the pool. Campsite called Lane Cove River Tourist Park near North Ryde and Chatswood, not far from Sydney centre.
Hopefully over next day or 2 will be looking at more campervans so we're not boiling in a tent for much longer, will update in a few days xx
