Greetings from Down Under! I'm not sure if many of you are still logging into this board but I just wanted to say to those of you I've not spoken to for a while, that I'm still alive & kicking! I'm working now, doing advertising sales for a British Backpackers magazine. It's nice & easy which suits me but already we're getting itchy feet because we want to be travelling again. We're staying in Sydney till early April & then heading up the East Coast. So hopefully if we earn enough money then we won't have to work again at all while we're in Oz! It's Australia Day on friday, which is a bank holiday so we're looking forward to all the mad celebrations! Anyway, I hope everyone's well. I hear it's snowing in Blighty? Well today is wet & grey here but last week it was between 38 - 42 degrees, so the tan's coming along nicely! Take care & I'll hopefully speak to you all soon. Hey, you finally updated your pics. Loving all the festive holiday stuff and also am a bit jealous. Today we *finally* got everyone in the same room so we could take a picture with the sodding Christmas tree. I had left it up because I promised you pics. Should have been taken down by Jan 6 (Epiphany), some British superstition. I wasn't particularly worried as this is not observed in America, I often see wreaths on front doors and santas on the roofs in April. but every single person who's walked into the house and seen the tree has made that annoying hissing noise and said " oooooh,bad luck". I say pish and tush to them, but the friggen tree is coming down tomorrow. You will possibly not be surprised to know that a HUGE family argument erupted over this f***ing photo, so we may be smiling for the camera but we were not happy bunnies. See the fun you're missing?? You are missing the Dickinson rage outs. Lucky you. Anyway you all look gorgeous (Jill as well) and we need more updates, missy. Anything ever come of the magazine job you were going for?? Merry xmas everyone and a very happy new year! I've finally added some photos. Check out the new album of the South Islands in Thailand & in the Bangkok album, there's some evidence that I did get a tatoo & that the girls really did eat bugs! We all had a lovely xmas on Coogee Beach. Very different as you can imagine, no yorkshire puds or brussell sprouts with our bbq prawns & tuna steaks, but a lovely day in the sunshine which is what it's all about when you spend xmas down under! Hellooooo down under!! You need to update your journal. Your map thingy says you are still in Thailand, and we have had no Oz news apart from your post in here. Miss you tins. Saw you on tv!! That was pretty darn fantastic except the woman with the mic should have given you girls half an hour slot to talk to us at home. Miss you and will get pics of everyone by the tree taken and set up for you. Be good and stay safe!!
