After five hours travel and numerous water breaks we decided to get a hotel room in Toledo just south west of Madrid. The rooms were cheap so we got two. I lost the toss and ended up sharing with Trev!! After a hot shower and a change of clothes we ventured out into the old city. WHAT A GEM OF A PLACE. Never having spoken to anyone who has been here we were amazed and delighted to find a walled city that has exquisite medieval architecture inside not to mention numerous bars and restaurants offering delicious tapas. The views from the top are beautiful. I’m surprised I’ve never heard tell of this place. One to come back too when we have more time. In the mean time .....don’t tell anyone about this place it’s a special secret!!
