Hi. Well that was a cold night. Under canvas in the mountains it gets bloody freezing when the sun goes down!!! We awoke to amazing bird song but everything was cold and damp and not much sleep was achieved during the night. Luckily Keith had a spare sleeping bag so I was cozy!! Trev’s tent was less than good and will be sold as soon as possible!!
Packed up and on our way by 0800 we meandered our way up the mountain and into a 8.5 kilometre tunnel and finally we were in Spain. Photos were taken but it was 6 degrees so no hanging around!! The scenery was spectacular with the snow covered mountain tops in the background as we slowly descended from 2000 metres up to the brown landscape of northern Spain.
A few stops along the motorway and around Zaragoza we decided not to camp but get a nice apartment by the coast so we headed for Valencia and a nice cheap place on the coast. Turns out it’s perfect with sea views, clean and only 60 euros. Might stay longer and recharge our batteries!!
