Hi. Finally we left the Biscay coast and headed inland toward Bordeaux and the Dordogne. The sun was shining with blue sky’s so the trip was enjoyable. Past a very busy Bordeaux which has a great ring road we were on our way to Bergerac using only small A roads. We drove past acres and acres of vineyards with incredible looking chateaus hidden in the woods and behind huge walls and gates. This is wine producing country and it’s for sale everywhere you look. Not a bad view from our gite!!? Sat in the sun watching it crawl over the horizon and start warming the air. Birds are singing and the local fishermen are taking to the water in numourous small boats.
